Longest Winning Streak in NFL History 7/26/04

The Longest Winning Streak in NFL History is 18 Games. This Streak has been Achieved by Three Teams in History. The New England Patriots look to become the Forth Team to do it. And with a 4-0 Start in the upcoming 2004 Season they will Break the Record as a Victory in Week 5 vs. the Dolphins will give them 19 in a row.

1972-1973 Dolphins with 18 ( 14-0 Regular Season in 1972, 3-0 in 1972 Post Season and a 1-0 Start in 1973 befoe losing in week 2 )

1989-1990 49ers with 18 ( Won last 5 Regular Season Game in 1989, 3-0 in 1989 PostSeason and a 10-0 Start in 1990 before losing in Week 12 )

1997-1998 Broncos with 18 ( Won the last Regular Season games in 1997, 4-0 in 1997 Post Season and a 13-0 Start in 1998 before losing in Week 15 )

Most People you ask will tell you that the 85 Bears or the 00 Ravens are the Best Defenses of All Time. But if you look at the Statistics you will realize that the 03 Patriots are, if no better, not to far off. They lead in some of the major catagories and are close in most of the others.
